Due to health concerns surrounding the spread of COVID-19, GW Graham Athletics has elected to suspend all Athletics activities. Most sport governing bodies have shut down all activities at this point until April 15th, when they will reevaluate the situation. We will provide additional info following the end of spring break, at which time we will reassess health advisories and safety concerns. BC school sports looks to do the same. The Grizzlies lost a closely fought match to Vernon this morning 3-1 to get knocked out of the top 8. However, the team responded with an excellent effort against Stelly’s from Victoria, winning 2-1. Have a chance to finish as high as 9th if they can win back to back tomorrow. First game at 9am. Great job Grizzlies!
The senior girls volleyball team played 3 top 10 teams today and managed to take down 1 of them on their way to a 3rd place finish in pool play. They lost to Little Flower Academy 2-0, beat McRoberts 2-0 and lost to South Kamloops 2-0. The team plays tomorrow at 11am. A win would guarantee a top 8 finish. Go Grizzlies!
The Grizzlies begin their Provincial Championships this morning at 8:30 am against #1 seed Little Flower Academy. The girls finish pool play with games against #8 Hugh McRoberts and #10 South Kamloops at 1:30 and 4:00 respectively. Keep up with results by going to bcssvolleyballchampionships.ca
