Senior Girls Volleyball Wins

The Grizzlies improved to 3 and 1 on the year with a straight sets win over WJ Mouat 25-22, 25-13, 25-14. Austyn Newhook served up 10 aces, while Fiona Doerksen owned the biggest hits of the night — finishing with 6 kills and 3 aces of her own. The team will take on Chilliwack Secondary at home next Tuesday. Great job girls!

Senior Girls Lose Silver Final

Senior girls volleyball team loses Silver Tier final to Belmont of Victoria 2-0. Overall, the team finished a respectable 12 out of 30 teams. Aliya TeBokkel led the team in kills and aces, while Amanda Duan ran the offense with great setting and amazing digs on defense. COME OUT AND SUPPORT THE GIRLS THIS TUESDAY FOR OUR HOME OPENER VS. SARDIS. FIRST SERVE AT 7:30 PM.

Senior Girls Volleyball Improves to 2-0

Our Grizzlies defeat Walnut Grove in straight sets tonight 25-19, 25-23, 25-23. Alicia Mathieson led the team with 9 kills and 8 aces. She also led all passer with a 2.14 rating. Libero, Grace Redmond also passed an impressive 1.93. The team is off to Nanaimo this weekend for the VIU hosted tournament. First home game is TUESDAY, OCTOBER 1ST AGAINST SARDIS! Come out and show you Pride, Spirit and Passion!

Senior Girls Volleyball Victorious!

Our Grizzlies won their opening match of the regular season tonight with a straight sets win over Robert Bateman of Abbotsford 26-24, 25-18, 25-19. Alicia Mathieson led the team with 11 kills, Fiona Doerksen pitched in with 4 aces and Keegan Wong and Mathieson led the serve return with 2.00 and 2.38 pass stats. A great win for the team. Go Grizzlies!

SGVB at UBC

The senior girls volleyball team is playing their first matches of the season today at the UBC/Mizuno Invitational. They lost 2-0 to Claremont of Victoria and 2-1 to St. Pat’s of Victoria. Play next against Hugh McRoberts of Richmond. The girls are definitely getting 1% better every set. Go Grizzlies!

Grizzlies Victorious in Fraser Valleys

Senior Girls volleyball team win in straight sets over Southridge 25-21, 25-16, 25-18 to advance to the 5th place game tomorrow at Pacific Academy. A win would secure 5th place in the Fraser Valley Championships and give the team an opportunity to win their way into the Provincial Championships via a wild card tournament with teams from the Okanagan.
